Quality Feng Shui cures, appropriately placed are designed to minimize negative energies thereby improving the quality of your life.
Feng Shui cures are often mistaken for symbolism. Whilst there is value in symbolism, it is merely a practice of infusing ‘objects and art’ with certain significance and symbolic meaning. Symbolism was a practice integral to most ancient cultures.
Whilst Chinese symbolism can add value, cures are in fact very specific and originate, not from Chinese cultural symbolism as is so often the popular stream of thought, but from the two universal laws of nature that govern all of Chinese metaphysics. Those laws are yin and yang and, of course, the five elements and their cycles of interaction.
It is predominantly the consultants understanding of the latter that governs their choice of Feng Shui remedies within any given environment.
For example, if there is the energy of illness (usually a saturation of the earth element) in a home or office environment then the traditional and classical style of Feng Shui solution is to introduce the element of metal. Why? According to the cycle of birth relating to the five elements of water, wood, fire, earth and metal; earth gives birth to metal. In the process of any element giving birth to another, their power is reduced and so this is why the cure is often, although not always based on this premise.
Interestingly, the more powerful Feng Shui cures are layered in the elements required to improve your circumstance. Take the above example; if you require metal then you could simply place a chunk of brass or any item made from metals such as gold, silver, copper or platinum in that particular sector and you could say that the job is done. However, you could go a step further and place a round silver plate on a table or wall because the round shape is in fact the shape of metal and so you have 2 layers of consideration adding strength to your remedy.
Or you could place six metal coins strung with gold string in the specific sector giving you and even more potent effect. The reason being is that six is the strongest number of metal; the coins are round in shape (the shape associated with the metal element) and the gold string would be introducing the color related to the element of metal.
In this way Feng Shui cures are indeed specific and related to the universal laws of nature.
